FAQs

Here are the answers to the questions we’re asked the most.

  • What should I bring, what should I wear?

We provide all the equipment you will need; however, we encourage you to bring a yoga mat, towel and bottle that can be filled at our water towel, if it’s your first time at Suffolk Yoga, we ask you to arrive a few minutes early to fill out a Health Questionnaire or print out from our website and bring it with you. Please wear comfortable, stretchy fitted workout clothes. Grippy socks are optional and shoes are left in the changing rooms.

  • How do I book a class?

Choose the class you would like to come to from the schedule page on the website and click ‘sign up’ and you will be taken through the booking process. An email confirmation will be sent to you confirming your place and giving directions to our studio. Once you have booked your first class, download our app to your handheld for easy booking and cancellation of classes.

  • I am new to yoga. Is that ok?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. We recommend those who have never practiced yoga before start with a beginners course. Please ensure that you tick the box to receive notifications. If you do not, you will not receive reminders or notifications of cancellations or amendments. Your instructor will help guide you through your first class and give you a warm welcome at the studio.

  • I have some specific health issues or back issues. What should I do?

Consult your GP for their advice firstly. After completing your health questionnaire before your first visit, brief your instructor with specific concerns and advise each instructor on arrival at a class to ensure they offer you suitable modifications.
